In early August each year, the BLM will issue a proposed list of grazing units offered with grazing periods ranging from 9 to 36 months. During drought periods, grazing contracts for some or all grazing units may not be offered to ensure attainment of the New Mexico Public Land Health Standards. The vegetation in this area consists of juniper, pinion, oak, mountain mahogany, Apache plume, blue grama, black grama, dropseed, western winter wheat and annual forbs.Ĭontracts for cattle grazing on McGregor Range are awarded each year via competitive bidding at public auction under the provisions of the Federal Material Disposal Act of 1947, as amended. Vegetation in this area consists of yucca, winterfat, scattered patches of creosote, blue grama, black grama, sideoats, tobosa, dropseeds, sacaton and annual forbs. The Otero Mesa is located in the mid elevation of the grazing unit. Much of the vegetation in this area consists of mesquite, creosote, four-wing salt bush, sand sage, sand drop seed, tobosa and annual forbs. The Tularosa Basin is located in the lower elevation. There are three distinct zones within the grazing units, the Tularosa Basin, Otero Mesa, and Sacramento foothills. The elevation within the grazing units ranges from 4,000 to 7,200 feet. Stocking levels and season of use are determined by monitoring and vary by grazing unit and annual forage condition. You know that all percents are out of 100, so you can skip making the percent into a fraction. So why didn't we show you these steps in the slideshow? Because you can get the answer without them. You already know this means we'll divide the numerator by the denominator, like this: In the second step, we convert 78/100 into a decimal. Since all percents are out of 100, we just put the percent over 100, like this: First, we convert our percent into a fraction. When we turn a percent into a decimal, we're actually doing two steps. But don't worry-it really is that simple! Here's why the method we showed you works. Since zero equals nothing, we'll replace the space with zero.Ĭonverting percents into decimals is so easy that you may feel like you've missed something. We can't just leave an open space with nothing in it. Notice there is an extra space next to the 8. Then, we'll move the decimal point two spaces to the left. Then we'll move the decimal point two spaces to the left. This time we'll turn 78% into a decimal.įirst, we'll replace the percent sign with a decimal point. We've converted our percent to a decimal. Now we'll move the decimal point two spaces to the left. Next, we'll move the decimal point two spaces to the left. Knowing how to convert percents and decimals will help you calculate things like sales tax and discounts. Be sure to reduce each fraction to its simplest form! Try This!Ĭonvert these decimals into fractions. If you're adding two fractions, you may even need to reduce or change both fractions so they have a common denominator. But it's important if you're going to use the fraction in a math problem. Reducing a fraction may seem unnecessary when you're converting a decimal. This means 85/100 can be reduced to 17/20. So we'll divide both parts of our fraction by 5.įirst we'll divide the numerator. To reduce, we need to find the largest number that will go evenly into both 85 and 100.ĥ is the largest number that goes evenly into 85 and 100. But it's always a good idea to reduce fractions when we can-it makes them easier to read. 85 hundredths can also be written as 85/100. This means our decimal is equal to 85 hundredths. To convert a decimal, first we'll check the place value of the last number to the right. The place to the right of the tenths place is the hundredths place. In decimals, the number immediately to the right of the decimal point is in the tenths place. To convert a decimal into a fraction, we'll use place values. We're going to rewrite 0.85 as a fraction. Let's convert a decimal into a fraction.Ĭlick through the slideshow to see how to convert a decimal into a fraction. The 0 means we're done dividing.Ĭonvert each of these fractions into a decimal. We'll add another 0 after the decimal point and bring it down. Since 2 is greater than 0, we're not finished dividing yet. We'll also add a decimal point after the 0 on top.Ĥ times 2 equals 8. To keep dividing, we'll add a decimal point and a zero after the 1. To convert a fraction to a decimal, we'll just divide the the denominator. To convert a fraction into a decimal, we'll just divide the numerator. Let's see how we can convert 1/4 into a decimal. To refresh your memory on this skill, you can review our Long Division lesson.Ĭlick through the slideshow to learn how to convert a fraction into a decimal. We'll be using a math skill you've already learned: long division. For example, it's easier to subtract 1/6 from 0.52 if you turn 1/6 into a decimal first. You may not do this very often, but converting decimals and fractions can help you in math. Fractions and decimalsĮvery fraction can also be written as a decimal, and vice versa. Learning how to convert fractions, decimals, and percents will also help you as you learn more advanced math. For example, it's much easier to add 1/4 and 0.5 if you turn 0.5 into a fraction. Sometimes it's useful to convert one kind of number into another. Any time we see 1/2, we'll know it can also mean 50% or 0.5. Since they're expressing the same amount, we know that 1/2, 50%, and 0.5 are equal to each other. But we've expressed this amount in three ways: as a fraction, as a percent, and as a decimal. Expanding and some optimizations with Pathfinder functions It makes sense to keep all these building shapes and leftovers and live paint groups on a separate layer that you create for this purpose. You might need to come back to them later. Make a copy of the live paint groups before expanding them. You should do this before expanding the live paint objects, because it’s much easier to clean it up at this stage. Select all the object with the Selection tool and then set the stroke color to None. The black strokes are no longer needed once the letters are colored. If you later decide that the red areas should be blue, then select the blue color in the Live Paint Tool and triple click on one of the red areas. Sorting everything into layers when there already are lots of letters, is the kind of work nobody likes doing, so it’s better to create a layer structure for the file from the very beginning and then use it strictly. There were so many that you will get lost. That didn’t make too much sense anymore when I got into the details of creating Punctuation. For a long time during working on the font I also had them all on the same layer. Having all the faces in one file made sense for me - only when I needed to invest some more effort into the »Light« face I moved it to a new file. To use it you can just go to the Fontself Panel, open its panel menu and select the template from it. From the Fontself panel you can open a template file and draw your letters in it, which is handy, because it’s set up in a proper way, it has the correct color mode, guides and layers in it as well as a lot of letter shapes you can use as a guide to draw your own. 8/8/2023 0 Comments Dome bookkeeping software freeYou can also generate a public link or convert to PDF files all invoices and later share them however you prefer with your clients Create an invoice based on hours tracked, send it to your Clients directly from TimeCamp via email.Customizable reports allow you to set them up even for unusual pay periods.Predict future expenses with accurate estimates.Adjust billing rates - set individual rates for specific projects, specific users/groups, or specific users in specific projects only.Allocate a specific budget to tasks, projects, people. To give you a clear overview, here are all the important features helpful in the accountants’ work: TimeCamp is easy to use, very intuitive, and flexible, and at the same time offers a wide range of functionalities. (For more on saving gas, see our guide to fuel economy.) The vehicle must have achieved a minimum overall miles-per-gallon (mpg) figure in our fuel economy tests and have a minimum number of cubic feet of cargo capacity, according to our measurements. In order to get on our list, a vehicle must meet benchmarks that vary depending on vehicle category. To help buyers who are looking for cargo capacity and fuel economy, our list below highlights vehicles we've tested that provide the best combination of the two. Compared to the previous version of the minivan, it can only improve on this front. With today's ever changing gas prices, many car buyers are opting to trade cargo space for fuel economy by purchasing a smaller vehicle than they might have otherwise. Because the 2021 Sienna is so new, it hasn’t been assessed by the NHTSA or the IIHS for its crashworthiness. Toyota makes up for this limitation by offering AWD in the Sienna, a previously exclusive feature that Chrysler is now offering in the Pacifica. With this new version of its minivan, Toyota is focused on touting its new long-slide second-row captain’s chairs with available ottoman-style leg rests. Getting back to the new Sienna, only the base LE and mid-grade XLE offer eight-passenger seating thanks to a removable second-row center jump seat similar to the Honda Odyssey’s. The only other hybrid minivan is the Chrysler Pacifica, and while it's arguably more useful because it offers plug-in capability for more than 30 miles of all-electric driving, the gas-electric Pacifica versions come only with seven-passenger seating capacity. It comes standard with a hybrid powertrain that delivers an estimated 33 mpg in combined driving. The IIHS has not rated the 2021 model, but the structurally identical 2020 received the highest possible marks except for headlight performance.Ĭompletely redesigned, the 2021 Toyota Sienna marks a big change in the minivan segment. According to the NHTSA, the 2021 Odyssey earns a five-star overall crash-test rating. For 2021, the Odyssey gets a subtle update in terms of its styling and interior, as well as improved safety features. This design allows parents to place children toward the middle of the minivan, where they are safest. Easy to remove and store, the jump seat allows Odyssey owners to create separate captain’s chairs with a pass-through to the third-row seat, or to slide the captain’s chairs together to create a two-person second-row bench seat. And among minivans, the 2021 Honda Odyssey is one of the top-ranked family haulers in America.Īll versions of the Odyssey except for the base LX trim level come with a removable second-row center jump seat, giving them an eight-passenger seating capacity. When it comes to offering lots of room for people and cargo at an affordable price and with a semblance of fuel efficiency, there is no better choice than a minivan. These 10 of the best 8-passenger vehicles are listed on the pages that follow in alphabetical order. For this list, we stuck with mainstream brands to keep the choices (relatively) affordable. Typically, but not always, second-row bench seats are available only with lower trim levels the apparent thinking is that people buying the best-equipped examples prefer to have second-row captain’s chairs, lowering passenger capacity to seven. Short of getting a full-size passenger van like a Chevrolet Express, Ford Transit, or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, this means you’re shopping for a set of wheels equipped with three rows of seats, with second- and third-row benches that seat three apiece.Īside from the big vans, there are three kinds of vehicles that serve this purpose: mid-size SUVs, full-size SUVs, and minivans. Whether you’ve got a passel of kids, carpool assignments, or a team to shuttle, or you just prefer to be the designated driver among your friends, you sometimes need a vehicle that holds as many people as possible. |
